I agree that laziness is one of the main factors that causes most people not to earn well online. But that is not the only issue, in fact, some people are so hardworking but end up not earning so well. I think one mistake they could be doing is focusing on low paying jobs. You can’t spend all your time in micro task sites and expect to earn well. You need to learn a good skill and know how to get clients in order to earn well.
You also need to believe in yourself. Cruising through with no confidence only ends you up in an unsuccessful journey. When approaching clients with your pitch, you may not be good enough to convince them. Therefore, work on your confidence by believing in yourself and getting skills so that you have something tangible to pitch.

He also has an Upwork account where he sells his writing skills. Due to his reputation with his own account and the reviews of clients he has worked with, he gets clients in Upwork easily. He does it as his full time job and he is making good money.

I don’t condemn people who gamble, I just ask them to do it responsibly. You should gamble with a small amount that you can afford to lose and do it mindfully to avoid getting carried away by the desire of high wins.
