Someone who misplaced their NIN slip in Abuja simply went to the NIMC website, downloaded the NIMC Mobile ID app, and used their NIN plus phone number to log in.

What you can do online is the pre-enrollment part, which just makes the process faster when you get there.
Here’s how it works:
After that is done, your NIN is generated.
Important point:
Even though parts of the process are online, the biometric capture must be done physically at a center. There is no fully online-only NIN registration in Nigeria.
If you already have a NIN and just need the slip, then you can also reprint it online through the official NIMC service portal without going back to the center.
